About Our Water Treatment Work in Litchfield Park
We test, recommend and install water softeners, whole-home filtration and reverse osmosis systems. Much of our work happens in houses that have seen decades of repairs, so we look at your plumbing as carefully as your water before we suggest anything.
Plumbing With Some History
Picking the equipment is the easy part. The real work is in the plumbing it connects to. Older houses often have copper, galvanized steel and PEX joined through years of patches, a softener loop in an awkward spot, or a main shutoff gate valve that only opens partway. Any of these changes how a system goes in, so we inspect first and price second.
Every job starts with a free water test and no obligation. We read hardness, total dissolved solids, chlorine and pH at your tap, then follow the line from its entry point to the water heater. We point out corroded fittings, a missing bypass valve or leaky old unions at the heater, because those parts decide how well a new softener or filter performs.
If you go ahead, installation comes included with water treatment systems, done by our partner plumbers. They put in a bypass, route the drain line with a proper air gap and replace a worn shutoff when it needs it, so the system can be isolated down the road. We give your quote by phone with each part named, so you know what is going in and why.
What You Can Expect From Us
Readings before recommendations
We size a softener's resin bed and a filter's carbon to your tap reading and your household's water use, not to a stock package. If an under-sink reverse osmosis unit solves the problem, we say so instead of pitching a whole-home system.
Old parts called out, not covered up
When an install exposes a pinhole in old copper or a valve that won't close, we stop and show you. You decide what gets fixed.
Coverage on parts and labor
The equipment valves and the installation and labor each carry a 5-year warranty. That means a control valve that fails or a fitting that starts to drip after the job are both covered, under separate terms.
A tidy job day
We put down drop cloths in the garage or utility closet, flush the new system before we leave, and haul away the old unit and packaging. We tell you ahead of time when the water will be off.
